A Little Comparison

I thought it would be fun to share a few posts, now and then, with “comparison” photos of the same landmarks photographed at different times during travels. My family and I don’t often visit the same place more than once–at least not without a long time interval in between–so it’s nice to reflect on those fun, overall rare moments.

The photos in this first collection aren’t really for Weekly Wonder, as they’re a little too dark (I left them that way, unedited, to keep the ‘atmosphere’ of the place on that overcast day). So I thought it would be fun to share them as they are, right here. 🙂

The photos below were taken when we were in Philadelphia awhile ago. This time, I think it’s better to tell the story through captions, rather than distract it with full-sized descriptions. So, without further ado, here you go:

The water near 30th street, Philadelphia, on an overcast day
Panoramic view of the water
There will be more comparisons of this statue photographed on different days, once I finish sorting through my albums…
The same landmark as the one below, from the ninth Weekly Wonder…

Closeup of the statue. Also the only image I edited in this series; enhanced the lighting so it focused on the eagle rather than the building.
Downtown Philadelphia, walking toward Center City
Forget where this was, but going by the buildings, probably near 30th street, Philly, at a different angle
Train tracks leading to who knows where
More water, calm and silent beneath looming clouds
Love the reflection in the water here!

And that’s all for now! I’m (finally) getting more posts in order, which means they’ll be published a lot earlier in the day. Have a lovely rest of the night, all, and don’t stay up too late! 😉
