Goooood afternoon, all! How are your crochet endeavors going? I hope the weather is nice and pleasant where you are. (The temperature here just went up to a sweltering 90℉. GAH.)
Today I have something very special to share–two very special someones, in fact. They’ve been around for awhile, and I think it’s time to officially introduce them; especially since both, in a sense, pertain to an element of craft.
So, without further ado…
Here’s our first acquaintance, Carter!
He’s named Carter because, well, he sort of looks like a Carter. And because he reminds me of a plush fox I’d seen in a store several years back. (Way to go memory.)
Carter was crocheted a couple months ago from a kit my mom and I found at a store. He’s approx. 5 1/2″ tall, standing up. Thus far, he’s the quickest tiny amigurumi project I’ve ever made, and has turned out very adorable. Needless to say, he may end up with a sibling fox or two in future. 🙂
Carter can actually stand on his own, but because of travel and being frequently squashed in my backpack, his tail is a little low on support. So I’m holding him up for now.
And this… (drum roll please…) is Mimi!
She is one of many Flower Fairies currently in the family. Some of her friends may be for sale, so I’ll keep you guys updated as that project develops. If I remember correctly, her flower is a forget-me-not. So Mimi is her nickname.
Mimi is my representative, or ‘mascot.’ For the time being she’s going to visually pose as me, so you won’t have to put up with an empty face behind Crochet Buddies. Even though she’s not technically an orchid. But we’ll pretend she is. 🙂
If the weather stays warm and sunny, I’ll be outside crocheting and taking hundreds of nature photos, so please check back for new additions to the Blog and Photo Gallery!
Have a lovely Wednesday!~
