As Summer Approaches–And A Little Sneak Peek

Dear Fellow Crocheters and Crafters,

Goodness, how the time has flown! I had intended to write another post immediately after the first (Introductions, Part I), but that stream of productivity soon went out the window. At any rate, can you believe summer is almost here?! After months of studying and cabin fever, it’s now time to dust off the bag of crochet hooks and pull out some yarn. And of course, with this transition between seasons comes a lovely opportunity to try out and create new patterns!

Needless to say, the next few days/weeks will be quite interesting, so be sure to stick around. For those who are new to this site: Greetings! I’m Orchid, the one ‘in charge’ of posting patterns, stories, craft ideas, and other tidbits of knowledge to share with you all. My friends and I call ourselves the Buddies, and our goal with this site is to share the beauty of crochet, for those interested but don’t know where to start, and for the experts seeking new patterns, ideas, and sharing their remarkable crochet journey. (There may be a community page or a forum or something coming up soon, so that will be quite exciting! Any and all comments are welcome.)

For those who don’t crochet, or prefer other forms of handiwork, we’ll also be posting about knitting, sewing, embroidery, jewelry making, and loads of other fun things.

Before this blog picks up the pace, here’s a little Sneak Peek at a post in the near future. And yes, it does involve patterns for 18″ dolls (different kinds, in fact).

Stay tuned for another post tomorrow~ by which time it will be Mother’s Day! How do you folks celebrate? Do you pull out the classic lace and flower patterns for your mom, or a loved one you may know? Or do you try something completely different and unique?

Until next time!~
