Hi there folks! Guess it’s my turn to be posting on this… thing. Blog? Is that what it’s called?
My name’s Caoimhe. Sounds like a mouthful to pronounce, but it’s really just “kee-va.” For those who don’t know me, here is my introduction for you to read.
Today I’m gonna share my adventures from Wednesday, May 24. Not a whole lot happened that day, as I was mostly getting squashed in Orchid’s backpack. But, well, we did have fun!
Just like my sister Wren’s adventure, this one started on the train, heading into town. We–Orchid, her Mom and I–didn’t get very many photos during the ride. It just didn’t seem like that kind of day, I guess. I did have a lot of fun looking around:
Eh, a little blurry, but still a nice shot:
THIS one’s one of my favorites:
Not surprisingly, Orchid had brought a ton of crochet and knitting materials to keep her busy during the ride… even more this time than the day Wren went along, or so I heard. It did keep her busy, and I got to do some exploring, so that was neat.
While Orchid was busy, I grabbed her camera, crawled up on her shoulder and took a photo of her working on the latest sleeping bag (gosh that thing was heavy–the camera, I mean):
We did take more photos once we were in town–and Orchid did end up finishing that sleeping bag/carry case/purse thing, which I later modeled in–but those were kind of more for the Products For Sale page, and less adventure-ish (or so I think). There are tons of photos elsewhere on the blog of me in my dress, and of the newly-made carry case. Those posts are here and here, if you want to take a look. Though I won’t dig up all those images for this post. That would make it way too long. 😉
Well, somewhere during that time we sat down on a bench for a rest. I got some fresh air (finally!) and hopped out of the backpack for a bit. Now that I’m looking at this photo, the clash of the backpack’s bright hue, my carrot-coppery hair and the brightness of that dress, does seem a bit horrific. Oh well!
Afterwards we stopped by another bench, this time at a park, for more photos:
There was a cherry-picker on the other side of the park… I dared Orchid to take a depth-defying picture to make it look like I was sitting in the bucket. Unfortunately that didn’t really work out, but I got to make a sweeping gesture to show it! (Fun fact: did you know the bucket part is of a thing called a hydraulic lifting system? It’s pretty cool.)
I have no idea what kind of flowers these were, but they were fun to observe… even though I couldn’t reach them.
I guess that’s it for now! Wow, that was kinda fast… maybe an excuse to post again sometime. 🙂
So seeing as no one else has done this yet, I’m gonna give you guys a cool tip for music to listen to: Check out the incredible work of David Arkenstone. (Last name sound familiar? cough cough Lord of the Rings fans cough) Basically every one of us in the family is a fan of his music. Have a listen to his songs and tell us what you think of it! (Awesome, isn’t it?)
Well, guess I’d better give Orchid back this blog/site/thingy. ‘Twas nice getting to be the blogger for a change!

P.S. Why am I suddenly humming Ode To Joy? Haha.
