Today’s crocheting has been mega-fast, mega-productive and mega-awesome. I hadn’t expected to get so much done, let-alone photograph it all in time before the sun set. But it’s here, and ready to share with you all. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!
As an aside, it is funny to have a gap of no posts on some days, and a ton of posts on others. Sometimes it just can’t be helped. This is one of those days where I could reasonably hold off posting about these new items until Monday, but it’s. just. not. possible. You MUST know today! 😉
So, without further ado, here comes an abundance of new items for the CB online store! (The store itself is currently the Products For Sale page.)
For the first announcement, there are now more color options and combinations in the T-Shirts For Mini Dolls category. All mini doll shirts cost $10 plus shipping; other clothing items and doll are not included.
First, the magenta version (the very one Caoimhe was modeling earlier today):
Next, a very special version made from extra-soft and durable yarn. The multi-color elements beautifully enhance the overall pattern:
If you choose to order a mini doll shirt in this color, I’ll only be able to crochet it in limited amounts because the yarn is harder to find in stores. So if you’d like your doll to have this multi-color shirt, better order soon! 🙂
Also, Wren’s skirt (pictured above) will be available sometime next week, depending on how many I make and in what colors.
Another big announcement for the crochet mini doll shirts: I’ve added the option to have the shirt made in a different length. For example, if some skirts or pants have a lower waist, you don’t want there to be a clothing gap on your doll. Therefore, you can choose to purchase an extra length t-shirt for modesty. This version will cost $1 extra for the length, therefore being $11 plus shipping. (Or you can choose a regular sized t-shirt and request an extension. Just be sure to email me about it so I can make the adjustments.)
Here’s the elongated version below, in contrast to the regular t-shirt length:
Here’s a comparison of the longer and shorter versions of the t-shirt, with the extended version in the middle and the regulars on either side:
And, yet another big announcement: more color AND pattern options for the Mini Doll Dresses! Pattern-wise, I’m fiddling around with different types of edging (scallop, shell, picot, etc.) to see what kinds best suit tinier items such as these, and make them even fancier. Here’s the as-of-yet basic version, made with the same special yarn:
At present, all dresses for sale cost $16 plus shipping.
More photos of these items can be seen on the respective item page under the Products For Sale menu.
Finally, now that there’s more yarn and ample opportunity to work on varying color combinations, there will likely be even more options available. Are you excited?! 🙂
If you are interested in purchasing any of the items above, please contact me (Orchid) through the Contact Form on the main page. I’m setting up a separate form for orders on the Contact page, which will be up and running shortly. In the meantime, the main page contact form is the best way to reach me.
As always, all items are handmade in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. Oh, and only when I’m feeling 100% well. So you don’t have to worry about germs. 😉
A couple more things worth mentioning:
- Crocheting a long-sleeve t-shirt for the mini dolls is up there on my list. It may be a challenge because of size, but I’ll see what I can do! That won’t be coming out yet, though, as it’s not really the right season for the dolls to be wearing that kind of attire.
- Another long-overdue addition to the Doll Accessories page are the wide-brimmed hats and caps! The first hat for mini dolls was part of Wren’s first outfit. I’ll be using that “prototype” to create more hats for other mini dolls out there to enjoy wearing.
- On Monday or soon after, I will post about where the new yarn (and other finds) came from. What I especially love about the elegant multi-color yarn is that it’s not only machine washable, but also machine dryable. Not very many brands out there have that kind of yarn. The texture of the yarn is also MUCH easier to crochet with!
- After a sufficient amount of doll outfits and accessories are made, I’ll go back to making human-sized items, such as fingerless gloves, hats, keychains, etc. (Basically everything else featured under the Products For Sale list.)
- Speaking of keychains, that’s next on the to-do list. They’re super easy and fun to make, and I’m really looking forward to making a ton to sell here.
- CROCHET CORAL REEFS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE SOON! I’m creating a “sample” stock for those, to see if there’s any interest for a crochet reef. More info about the project itself is here.
Hope you enjoy seeing all the items that are available, and those that will be for sale soon! Until next time!~
