HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL THE DADS AND GRANDFATHERS OUT THERE!!!
We hope you’re having a splendid time celebrating with your family!! 😀
To all the moms, grandmothers, kids and grandchildren out there, and everyone else as well: if you’re looking for something special to make for Father’s Day, here’s a compilation of our favorite Top 10 List to get you started! Most of these patterns can technically be made for any and every occasion, and are great gifts to add on to what you may have already made for the occasion.
Let’s begin, shall we? 🙂
- Father’s Day Crochet Gift List by Moogly features 10 awesome ideas and 15 free patterns. The patterns include golf accessories, bottle covers (otherwise known as drink cozies), ties, and other fabulous patterns.
- 36 Knit and Crochet Patterns for Men by Red Heart is another really cool place to find patterns and gift ideas. The patterns may take slightly longer to make (being larger items such as sweaters and caps), but are nonetheless a gorgeous way to surprise your dad or granddad.
- Father’s Day Crochet Socks Pattern by Lion Brand is a fun, durable pattern that can be made in any color combination and worn on just about any occasion.
- Stitch & Unwind has a list of Craft[s] for Father’s Day: 22 Free Homemade Gifts to Crochet. This list is comprised of gorgeous free patterns under three categories: accessories (such as ties), hats and scarves, and afghans.
- My Merry Messy Life has yet another list to add to this growing collection of ideas: Crochet Father’s Day Gifts free crochet patterns}. (You may notice that some of these patterns are crossovers of other lists as well.)
- Mellie Blossom has put together a wonderful, whimsical list of Crochet Gifts for Men. Her list even includes patterns with inspiration from Dr. Who, Game of Thrones and Star Wars (isn’t the mini R2D2 adorable? 🙂 )
- Here’s another list from Moogly, the One Skein Crochet Gifts for Men. By the look of it, these gifts are super easy to make and will be treasured for a very long time.
- One of my favorite, simplest patterns is the Joseph’s Scarf pattern by Cheryl Wilson (on Ravelry). The scarf itself is long and will keep the person you’re making it for super cozy.
- Men’s Winter Scarf pattern by Amy Solovay for The Spruce; this pattern is adorable. Although it’s for winter, the type of stitch used and lovingly crafted detail will make crocheting it a wonderful experience. Plus, there is also a free hat pattern on the site.
- Ashlea on Heart Hook Home has this fantastic Simple Scarf for Men free pattern. The stitches allow the scarf to scrunch up and become space efficient, and the scarf itself is fun and easy to make, especially for beginners.
Hope you enjoy making something special for your loved one(s), if you haven’t already! 🙂 Original Crochet Buddies patterns (for free and for sale) will be coming out soon. (2025 update: Crochet Buddies patterns are now available on the Shop page.)
Until next time!~
