I need help with a baby afghan pattern. Thank goodness for Google--I found this forum!
Hi Lucie, welcome to the Forum! Thank you for joining the Crochet Buddies Community. Your topic header is spot-on -- no one is ever too old to learn, especially crochet. 🙂 How can we help?
I started out with a bootie pattern that used different acronyms for stitches (UK). After much frustration, I moved on to another pattern (my bootie buddies). While working on the new pattern, off and on, I would inadvertently click on the video for the first pattern. It took me a bit before I realized my mistake. As you can see, I am no good at tying ribbons. These will stay in my stash and I will try another pattern (without ribbons).
Those booties are adorable! Not to mention they're the same size -- one of my biggest frustrations with crocheting anything in pairs is how differently they end up. Yours look practically identical! The ribbons add a really nice dimension, and you tied them beautifully. 🙂
I understand the frustrations with different crochet acronyms. It's not always obvious on the pattern, and even so, switching back and forth can be a bother. But you made it through the bootie buddies, and they look lovely. Do you have a youngster in mind for the next pair? 🙂
Hope the weather is nice where you are, and not too freezing!
