I really did not like how my first attempt at baby booties turned out but I intend to try again. I am working on a brimmed newsboy hat at the time and just starting on the brim. The pattern says to sc through both rows 19 & 20? Is there a video that shows how to do this?
Based on the previous Row 20, I think what it means is to sc in the top of Row 19, bypassing the sl sts (or going over and around them, sort of making the next row of single crochets as if the row of sl sts wasn't there). I think it's done that way to shape the brim, and to avoid having to crochet in the top of the sl sts, which are usually much tighter.
My apologies for the very long delay. I can't believe how quickly the months are going by. 😓Â
Regarding videos, I will look and see if there are any out there that show the technique. If not, I'll try to crochet Rows 19-22 and see if it works, and photograph the result.
