I finally have ten loops going across Afghan Stitch Square (directions highlighted in green, below). I don’t know where to insert my hook (directions highlighted in red, below. what amounts to 1 ½ rows?) across Lace Square.
With loop on hook, st st in first row of afghan st at lower corner of panel, working along long edge ch 4, skip 2 rows sc in next row, * ch 4, skip one row sc in next row; rep from * across Afghan Stitch Square, having ten loops across. *ch 4, skip 1 ½ rows sc in next row; rep from * across Lace Square, having ten loops across. Work edge around 4 sides of panel.
I posted pattern/picture to my blog: iweararedhat.blogspot.com. Thanks for looking, Lucie.
Hi Lucie,
My sincerest apologies for the delayed response.
Based on the picture you posted, the 1 1/2 rows could mean making an sc in the side of the row, or in the ch space along the edge. For subsequent sts across the panel, you could continue to sc in the side of the st, or vary between sides and ch spaces. I think either method would work for consistent edging.
Hope this helps! Your baby afghan blanket looks absolutely lovely. 🙂
I am still stewing over this. I put it down for a bit; I tend to do that when I am frustrated. How are you doing on your law studies? I have a niece working in the brain unit at a hospital in Florida. Her goal is being a doctor. Wow! In my wildest dreams I never knew I would see woman running for president of the United States or as doctors, lawyers, police officers, commanders of space ships, television anchors, and even bus drivers. As a child my fantasy was to be Roy Rogers--not Dale Evans. I am so excited for you, wishing you the best, and will be watch for updates on you endeavors.
At the moment I am being distracted by the letter "p" in the lower left side of my text box--can't figure out why it is there. Oh well! I don't see where I can post image here so inserting a link to my blog: iweararedhat.blogspot.com
Lucie, thank you so much for your kind words! Law is going really well. I'm learning to appreciate all the ways legal principles can be applied in everyday life, and am thoroughly enjoying the intellectual stimulation. That's so cool that your niece works in a brain unit!! I totally agree, it's thrilling to see women these days with such empowering and influential roles. I will be posting updates as much as I can, and will be checking your blog to see more of your creations! Thank you, again, for all the well wishes! 🙂
Hm... the p appears on my screen as well. Perhaps it stands for "plain text" to differentiate from a title font size...? Not entirely sure. Images can be posted by clicking on the "Browse" to attach a file, right below the p. Links can be added by clicking on the little chain icon on the toolbar above, icons to the left of the quote symbol.
Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing you and your family a fantastic time. 😀
